The Beautiful Art of Hagia Sophia has inspired countless artists across the world. In fact, Istanbul is the world's epicenter for calligraphy and related arts. Since my first trip to Turkey in 2018, I've also been inspired to create so much more. One thing my husband and I fell in love with are the enormous round pieces in the Hagia Sophia with various names on them. I've been commissioned by my husband to make these for our family members. Since these will be on our walls, I used the colors and patterns of our living room.
The round design is eye catching because it isn't the normal shape wall art comes in. It graces the walls so elegantly and does something defines the space around it differently.
