Adenya Hotel & Resort in Alanya, Antalya, Turkey |
Being the frequent traveler I am, I was so happy to come across this and I knew right away I had to share. See, this is what I’m talking about! Muslims make up about 1/3 of the world’s population. So its about time more businesses and things accommodating our needs. In return, Muslims need to use and support the businesses that do address our requirements! What I'm so excited about is booking a hotel where there is a private beach for women!
So what is Halal Booking?
Basically, this
website gives you access to hotels that are simply put, “Muslim friendly.” Can
you imagine booking a vacation at a hotel with “Halal friendly beaches and
pools?” I for one would love to not have women walking around with a few
strings attempting to cover their private areas. Halal Booking Promo Video
More specifically, you will be
able to find pools for women only or at least closed to men at certain times. You
may find pools where women are required to wear burqinis and revealing bathing
suits are not allowed.
You may find
separate spas for men and women. Hotels that haven’t built separate spas will
have separate hours such as women spa hours in the morning and men spa hours in
the evening. You will find halal meal items so you won’t have to worry about
pork or alcohol being served. You’ll find family friendly entertainment so you won’t’
have to worry about scantily clad women or risque behavior in front of your
children and spouses.
What age boys are allowed in the women’s
only facilities?
I would check each
hotel because that can change. One of the hotels I saw doesn’t allow boys above
4 years old to be in the women’s only facilities. So that’s a good thing to check out before you make plans.
What About the Gyms?
I’ve looked
through the site and found that gyms that are co-ed will allow ladies or
families to reserve the gym (free of charge) so you can work out privately. You
just need to let them know in advance.
I noticed it depends from one hotel to the next. Sometimes the facilities are set up for
women only while some require a reservation. Some reservations are free while
some may yield a small charge. This is what I’m so excited about seeing develop
in Turkey. Turkey is actually working on converting /renovating many hotels to
be more Halal/ Muslim friendly. There is a lot of money in adding a second
swimming pool for women only and separate spas and other amenities so some you
will see have decided to make the dress code halal and give separate hours for
the men and women to swim or use the spas etc. Either way, the country’s
tourism industry is working hard to be more accommodating to Muslim travelers.
A few features I
really like about HalalBooking are:
*Precise total
family pricing: Needs no explanation!
*The prices shown
already include the taxes and fees! I
hate choosing a hotel on booking.com and then being hit later with 30$ more in various
fees and taxes.
*Room suitability guarantee: Oh my goodness, this is a big winner with me. Since they guarantee it, if my room is not suitable to my needs they will give me what I really need to accommodate me. I sometimes travel to 2 to 3 countries in a year. It is very stressful and tiring. The worse thing is to get into a room and it not have the right size bed or not enough beds. Especially after a 13 hour flight and 4 or 5 hours in airports and taxis, You just want to put your things down, have a hot shower and sleep!
Look at this beauty
I found on HalalBooking.com. It’s called Al Areen Palace and Spa in Manama
Bahrain.
